Pricing

Two prices. That's it.

Free covers most travelers. Unlimited covers people who eat out a lot, or travel for a month, or just don't want to think about it. No tiers above. No tiers below.

If five scans a month is enough, you never see a paywall — and never give us a card.

Why we charge

Each scan runs through a vision model. Unlimited covers our cost on heavy users — that's the whole math.

"Can't I just use Google Translate?"

You can. It will give you the words. Bacalhau à Brás becomes "cod with eggs," which is technically correct and tells you almost nothing about what's arriving at the table. This app reads the menu, identifies each dish, and shows you a photo of it — with the actual ingredients and the price in your currency. It's a different question being answered. If translation is what you need, the keyboard in your pocket already does that for free.

A note on the price

$3.99 is what unlimited scans cost us per heavy user per month, plus a few cents. We're not trying to build a $20 wellness-app empire on top of a camera trick. If the model gets cheaper, the price gets cheaper.

Free isn't a trial — it's the actual product for most people. A weekend in Rome is maybe four scans. A week in Tokyo is maybe seven. We made the cap fit a real trip, not a marketing funnel.
